Follow these emergency steps in order. If at any point you feel unsafe, evacuate and call for help immediately.

Safety First

If you smell gas, suspect carbon monoxide, or see sparks, evacuate immediately and call 911. Do not attempt to operate your system if you suspect a safety issue.

Turn off your Furnace and check if the inducer motor is running when heat is called

Listen for humming from the Furnace inducer motor indicating power but no rotation

Check the Furnace inducer motor vent for blockages that may cause overheating

Verify the Furnace inducer motor pressure switch tube is connected and clear

Call for Furnace service as inducer motor issues typically require professional repair
