Follow these emergency steps in order. If at any point you feel unsafe, evacuate and call for help immediately.
Safety First
If you smell gas, suspect carbon monoxide, or see sparks, evacuate immediately and call 911. Do not attempt to operate your system if you suspect a safety issue.
Turn off your Furnace to prevent condensate backup and water damage
Locate the Furnace condensate line and check for ice blockages
Thaw the Furnace condensate line using warm towels never use open flame
Insulate the Furnace condensate line to prevent future freezing
Call for Furnace service if the condensate issue persists after thawing
